My email inbox went into meltdown under the weight of UnAwards entries as the midnight deadline loomed last night.

It was the busiest day in the 10-year history of the UnAwards.

Remarkably, a monster 593 entries have been submitted – matching exactly the record-breaking 2024 total.

The title for the latest entry was also matched – not once but twice - with two separate entries both landing at 23.59pm. It’s true – comms people really do love a deadline.

It’s over now to an army of 35 judges who will work through every entry and give us our shortlist. They have their work cut out.

The shortlist will be published on Monday 17 November.

The full UnAwards timeline can be seen here.

Tickets for the event always sell out, and it’s strictly first come, first served. It’s the fairest way.

You can buy up to two tickets per team, available here. They are just £30 + vat each.

Thank you to everyone who entered. I mean it when I say you’re all stars, all winners, and you make me proud to work in the best industry there is.

I’m very fortunate to be able to run the UnAwards. It takes up a lot of my time but it’s the best thing I do.

Good luck to everyone.

And I look forward to seeing many of you at the UnAwards ceremony at its spiritual home, the Everyman Cinema Birmingham, on Friday 5 December 🖤
